CapLinked price in pounds
CapLinked lists $299/mo as its entry price, which is about £224 a month at our indicative rate of $1 = £0.75. The invoice is likely to be in dollars, so the sterling cost moves with the pound: a 5% swing in the exchange rate changes the entry figure by roughly £11 a month.

VAT on a CapLinked invoice
CapLinked lists its head office in the United States. When a supplier based outside the UK invoices a UK business, the business usually accounts for VAT itself under the reverse charge: no VAT on the invoice, but output and input entries on your own return.
If CapLinked bills you through a UK subsidiary instead, 20% is added to the invoice in the ordinary way. Ask which entity will invoice before you sign.
The inc-VAT figures matter most where VAT is not fully recoverable: partly exempt businesses such as many insurers, lenders and residential landlords, charities, and unregistered start-ups. Reverse-charge services also count towards the £90,000 VAT registration threshold for a company that is not yet registered. Your accountant should confirm how this applies to your business.
How the CapLinked bill is built
Flat fee, every month. A flat monthly fee means more investors or more documents do not move the entry price, but a slow round does. A SEIS round that takes three months costs three months; an EIS round stretched by advance assurance delays costs more, so line the room up with the HMRC timetable rather than opening it on day one.

UK contract questions before you sign
- Notice period and minimum term. On a monthly plan, ask how many days' notice stops the next charge and whether cancelling part-way through a month earns any refund.
- Automatic renewal. Check whether the order form rolls over by itself. Business contracts carry no statutory cooling-off period, so a renewal clause binds as written; diarise the cancellation deadline against your expected completion date.
- Archive at completion. Ask what an encrypted copy of the room costs (a download or a USB set for the completion bible), what format it comes in and how long read-only access lasts after the room closes.
- Deletion under UK GDPR. As your processor, CapLinked should delete or return personal data when the service ends, unless law requires it to keep a copy (UK GDPR Article 28(3)(g)). Ask for the deletion timetable, how backups are purged and written confirmation once it is done.
- Governing law and invoice currency. See whether the terms follow the law of England and Wales or a foreign system, and ask to be invoiced in pounds if possible, so a weak pound does not inflate the bill mid-deal.

CapLinked UK cost questions
How much will CapLinked cost me in pounds?
The published entry plan of $299/mo works out at about £224 a month. Six months comes to about £1,346 before VAT, or £1,615 with VAT at 20%.
Will VAT be added to a CapLinked invoice?
With a head office in the United States, an invoice from outside the UK normally carries no VAT and a UK business accounts for it under the reverse charge. A UK subsidiary invoice would include 20%. Ask which applies.
Is CapLinked good value for a SEIS round?
Compare the three-month figure in our scenario table with the cheaper published plans in the rivals table. For a round with a handful of investors, a lower monthly price may cover what you need.
CapLinked has an API in our data. Does that cost more?
Our data does not say whether API access sits on the entry plan. If you want to feed data into your own systems, ask which tier includes it before you compare prices.
Can I try CapLinked before I pay?
Our data lists a free trial for CapLinked. Ask how long it runs and whether trial content carries over to a paid room.
